FrequentlyAskedQuestions

What you need to know about our team and how we work

What qualifications do staff have?

Every member of the Reach team holds relevant qualifications in child development, social work, youth support, or related fields. We invest in ongoing training to stay current with best practices in trauma-informed care and inclusive support. Our team's expertise spans residential care, community outreach, advocacy, and wellbeing coordination.

How does Reach ensure consistency?

We build long-term relationships with young people, with the same staff members working across phases whenever possible. Clear protocols and regular supervision ensure quality care. Young people benefit from knowing who they'll see and what to expect.

How are activities designed?

Our team works with young people to understand what builds their confidence and resilience. Activities are tailored, inclusive, and meaningful. We measure success by what matters to each young person.

How do you support staff wellbeing?

Working with young people who've experienced trauma can be demanding. We provide regular supervision, peer support, and access to training that helps staff process their own experiences. A supported team delivers better care.

Can families access support too?

Absolutely. Our community outreach worker connects families to services and support. We recognize that young people thrive when their families are supported. We work alongside families, not in isolation from them.

What happens during short breaks?

Short breaks are structured, safe spaces where young people can relax, build skills, and enjoy activities they choose. Our team ensures every young person feels they belong. It's respite for families and growth for young people.
